Description

This course studies Buddhist histories, philosophies and practices in South, Southeast Central, and East Asia. We will discuss questions like: What are enlightenment and nirvana? Why and how do Buddhists meditate? What is it like to be a Buddhist today? Religious community, trials and triumphs in the lives of Buddhists will also be discussed.
